When Putin invaded Ukraine, I knew that this was the beginning of the end of our civilization, if Russia wasn’t quickly defeated. That defeat didn’t happen, and now others have been emboldened to do the unthinkable.
Venezuela is the latest barbarian state to announce that it too will invade its neighbor and take what it has for herself. And if they are successful, the spiral into the abyss will accelerate.
Never in the history of humanity have so many people depended so much upon global peace and global trade for their survival. And, it’s beginning to unravel.
And, I believe that the Red Horse rides through it.

The Great Unraveling And The Red Horse
There have been many times in history when people wondered if their moment in time was the Ride of the Red Horse in Revelation Six. They’ve been consistently wrong, and I devoutly hope that my own speculations are wrong as well. But, never in history have we depended so much on peace to feed eight billion people.
One of the biggest reasons why there has been so much peace is the power and reach of the US Navy. For 75 years, it has kept the sea lanes open so that food, fuel, finished goods and fertilizer could travel to where they were needed most. But, America has squandered its power and is in military decline, with the navy suffering the brunt of this dissolution.
Did you know that the US Department of Defense cannot find $4 Trillion in assets?
I know that many of you despise the Military Industrial Complex and the evil that they have represented. But, there is far, far worse going on than fat military contracts going to even fatter contractors. And, I’ve talked about that elsewhere.
NOTE: Did you know that it was Thomas Jefferson who sent the US Navy and Marines to stop the Barbary pirates from capturing merchant ships and enslaving American sailors?
What we need to talk about now is the ending of civilization as we know it, and the violence that will follow. Yes, our civilization deserves to die for all the evil that it has done. So, our destruction will be just. And, I see the Hand of God in what is happening – after all, God is the one who releases the Red Horse.
What concerns me is the well-being of faithful brothers and sisters in Christ who are in harm’s way. Violence out in the world will quickly be followed by violence in the streets of where you live. And for some, it’s already here.
Let me quote the relevant passage:
3 When He opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, “Come and see.” 4 Another horse, fiery red, went out. And it was granted to the one who sat on it to take peace from the earth, and that people should kill one another; and there was given to him a great sword.
– Revelation 6:3-4 (NKJV)
The past hundred and fifty years has been the most violent in human history. But, there were little over a billion people at the beginning. And, our capability for violence has grown by leaps and bounds as our population has exploded.
Oh, and do you remember what I said about Venezuela?
She’s about to invade Guyana, and long-time readers can probably guess the reason why this war will take place.
That’s right. OIL.

Venezuela wants the oil that Guyana has. And, it’s going to take it. And, with America showing her weakness in the face of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, China’s threats towards Taiwan and the declining influence of the US in the Middle East… Venezuela’s President Maduro thinks that he can grab what he wants and keep it.
If he’s right, life will get harder and more dangerous for all of us. Remember that our schools and entertainment have taught far too many of our children to hate. And, that hatred will quickly turn to violence when they see the ‘unfairness’ of people having things that they do not. When the economy declines, bloodshed and brutality will increase.
The violence that we see now will be nothing like what will rock our world as our civilization continues to unravel. And, it’s hard to believe that the Ride of the Red Horse isn’t part of this.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
